Amergis School Behavioral Aide in Elizabethtown, North Carolina
Amergis Staffing is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Aide to join our team in a 1-on-1 capacity with a student in a self-contained classroom. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in a collaborative educational environment. The role involves providing personalized support to ensure the student's academic, behavioral, and social success.
Responsibilities:
-Work closely with a student in an EC self-contained classroom setting, adhering to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioral plans.
-Implement behavioral strategies and interventions under the guidance of special education professionals.
-Assist the student in academic tasks, transitions, and social interactions throughout the school day.
-Maintain a safe and supportive environment conducive to learning and development.
-Communicate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents regarding student progress and challenges.
Requirements: -Prior experience working with children, particularly in educational or behavioral settings, is preferred. -Experience working with special needs students is a definite plus.
-Certification in CPR is required.
-Willingness to undergo behavior management training provided by the school.
Schedule:
-Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:15 am to 4:00 pm.
