Amergis $31 / HR! CMA/CNA Contract | Evenings in Fremont, Nebraska

Role Med Aid

  • Type of Facility: SNF, LTC, Hospice and Dementia

  • of Beds/Residents : 106 Bed - 3 unit- both Private and semi-private rooms, attached to the hospital.

  • EMR: Experience Care (previously known as Net Solutions)

  • Ratios: MA's Days 1:8-9 Nights 1:15

  • Required Certifications: BLS, * MUST HAVE 40-HOUR NE MED AIDE CERT & 75-HOUR CNA CERT TO BE CONSIDERED*

  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: LTC, SNF, Rehab, Dementia, hospice. 3units - DG 100-

    SNF, DG 200 -LTC and 4 huge hospice suites, DG 300- Dementia - Facility does not take high flight risk patients. It is not

    a locked unit. They are allowed to wander.

  • Job Duties: Med Aid's are responsible for med pass and other CNA duties. Hospital staff responds to codes and rapid r

    responses.

  • Experience or 'Must have' skills: 1 year, Must be willing to use email. Must be over 18 and must have 40hr course not

    20hour MA cert.

  • Are there IV's or titratable drips?

  • Area there Tele monitors? If so do you have monitor techs on this unit? Do RN's read strips?: Are RN's required to attend

    team conferences for acute inpatient rehab? If leaders are unable to attend rounds nurses

    would be expected to fill in.

  • DON/Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: DON M-F, Leaders available on every unit, Hospital House Supervisor

    Physician availability after hours NP rounds during the day. Patients are taken to appointments at clinics - They are

    attached to the hospital in case of emergency.

    "Interdisciplinary Team:

  • PT/OT/SLP, Pulmonary or Cardiac Rehab, Case Managers, Social Workers, Dieticians?: PT/OT/SLP, Case Managers,

    Social Workers, Dieticians, Behavioral Health

  • Is RT on-site: 24/7

  • Oxygen Therapy /Equipment (ie Cpap, Bipap, High Flow): RT has weekly consults. RN's do all treatments. - Cpap, O2,

    Trilogy, High flow. Chronic trachs but no vents.

  • Pharmacy on-site? Medication dispensing system?: Offsite Pharmacy - Med carts

  • Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 8's and 12's 6a-2p, 2-10, 6a-6p, 6p-6a

  • Weekend Requirements: Every other

  • Holiday Requirements: Rotate in with perm staff

  • Call or Standby Requirement: No - Traveler can volunteer to be on call.

  • Floating Requirements : Would be required to float among all areas within the Gardens. Not to acute. They do try to

    keep staff with the same residents.

  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Purple Top and Black Pants

  • Unit/Department Specific Orientation: 1-2 days on the unit
