Amergis Travel Cytotechs Needed in Orlando, FL!! $3,463 Weekly in Gainesville, Florida

Position Description:

Coordinate and participate inspecialized and complex technical tasks involved in screening slides ofclinical specimens to detect evidence of cancer or other pathologicalconditions.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate andparticipate in specialized and complex technical tasks involved in screeningslides of clinical specimens for evidence of cancer or other pathologicalconditions to include marking abnormalities, recording diagnoses and filingcases for subsequent review with pathologist.

  • Coordinatetechnical activities in the cytology preparatory laboratory and monitor andday-to-day activities of the cytology laboratory.

  • Review patient history for each case;coordinate files of slides, diagnosis and laboratory reports; maintain files ofteaching slides for cytology students

  • Evaluatecollected laboratory data and prepare reports setting forth progress, adversetrends and appropriate recommendations for conclusions.

  • Make workassignments ensuring adequate manning for performance of laboratory tasks;review work of lower level employees; assist in the training of new personnel.

  • Perform additional duties:Cytopreparation, computer liaison, daily lab workflow coordination for cytoprepand screening.

  • Adheres toall Amergis and worksite rules, policies and procedures

  • Otherduties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelorof Science degree in biological science or related field preferred.

  • One (1) 1year of experience preferred.

  • Successfulcompletion of Amergis Staffing Solutions testingprocess.

  • Currentphysical exam, if required by state regulations or contract specifications.

  • Current TBtest or chest x-ray.
