Primary Responsibilities:
Administer intravenous therapy and other prescribed medications and treatments as per MD orders.
Prepare equipment and assist physicians during procedures, treatments, and examinations.
Assess patient needs, identify problems, plan and implement nursing interventions, evaluate outcomes, and document all aspects of care. Report significant deviations from normal to physicians.
Assign tasks to ancillary personnel.
Orient, precept, and mentor new and entry-level nurses in problem-solving and decision-making.
Identify and address urgent patient needs and initiate appropriate measures.
Provide directions to nursing team members to ensure thorough, safe, and evidence-based patient care.
Deliver excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
Perform physical assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Conduct case management and monitor laboratory tests.
Document all care provided.
Identify and address actual and potential problems, intervening and reporting to the appropriate disciplines.
Coordinate patient care, initiate and participate in patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
Address the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs of patients.
Manage medications and perform ongoing patient education.
Participate in quality improvement projects and continuous learning and evidence-based research.
Requirements:
1+Years of RN L&D Experience
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): Must possess and maintain a current ACLS certificate issued by the American Heart Association.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP): Must complete all lessons to obtain the NRP certificate issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Advanced Fetal Monitoring: Must maintain a CCRMC-approved advanced fetal monitoring certificate.
