Pay: $23/hr - (Mileage Reimbursement:Federal mileage rate (2024 rate is $0.67 cents/mile)
Amergis Staffing is hiring Early Childhood School Aide’sfor schools in the Portland, OR area. The School Aide is anindividual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioralassistance under the supervision of the special education department and/orsupervising designee. Provide support services to assist students withpersonal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by arehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health careprofessional.
Details
· 24/25 School Year
· Program covers all of Multnomah County
· Itinerant model, Instructional Aide's will befloating to different classrooms within Multnomah County
· Reliable attendance is a must
· Must be comfortable working 1:1 with SpecialEducation students, providing personal care (hygiene, toileting, feeding)
· NEEDS Reliable transportation / childcare is amust - Will be floating (could be same day floating or different location ondifferent days of week)
· Flexibility is important. Their assignedclassroom can be subject to change due to highest needs, staff shortages, etc.
· Students will likely exhibit behaviors,aggression, etc., may be nonverbal
