Amergis Telemetry Registered Nurse - $60/HR in Providence, Rhode Island

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is looking for Telemetry RN's for a July 22nd start date in Providence, Rhode Island.

  • 48 hrs/week - 4x12's

  • NIGHTS - 7pm-7am

  • Local Pay Rate: $60/HR

  • Monitoring and Assessment : Telemetry nurses closely monitor patients’ heart rhythms using EKG machines. They observe changes, irregularities, or signs of distress. This involves continuous surveillance, especially for patients with cardiac conditions or those recovering from heart-related procedures.

  • EKG Interpretation : These nurses are skilled at interpreting EKG tracings. They identify normal patterns, arrhythmias, and other cardiac abnormalities. When an alarm sounds due to irregular heart rhythms, they respond promptly.

  • Collaboration : Telemetry nurses work closely with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals. They communicate changes in patients’ conditions, discuss treatment plans, and collaborate on patient care.

  • Emergency Response : In critical situations (such as heart attacks), telemetry nurses provide immediate care. They administer medications, perform CPR, and stabilize patients until further interventions can be carried out.

  • Patient Education : Before discharge, telemetry nurses educate patients and their families about heart health, medications, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up care. This empowers patients to manage their conditions effectively.

  • Documentation : Accurate record-keeping is essential. Telemetry nurses document EKG readings, vital signs, medications administered, and any interventions performed.

  • Technology Proficiency : They stay updated on EKG equipment, telemetry systems, and other relevant technology. Troubleshooting technical issues is part of their role.
