Are you ready to make a significant impact and help shape the future? We’re seeking a dedicated Braille Transcriber to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with students aged 14 to 18, providing them with the tools they need to succeed. This position is 100% in person.

What’s in it for you?

• A competitive salary of $30 - $36 per hour

• A consistent schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

• All the necessary equipment provided to set you up for success

  Your Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately transcribe written material into literary Braille, tactile, and large print material

• Tutor students in correct Braille usage, providing one-to-one and group instruction

• • Relay technical needs for the blind and visually impaired to program instructors and/or administrators

• Assist in establishing and maintaining a learning environment essential to the learning goals and curriculum outcomes

• Evaluate and specify the direction of instruction to Amergisize the student’s learning potential

• Follow behavioral management strategies and techniques identified by the program instructor

• • Assist in organizing and preparing instructional materials

• Perform other duties as assigned

  What we need from you:

• A Certificate from the Library of Congress in Literary Braille is a must-have!

  Bonus Points:

• Additional certifications in Nemeth Mathematics and Music Braille are a huge plus!
